Rental / cancellation conditions
- The renter is liable for the rented object (in the case of groups, the main renter) and also declares to have received the rental items in good condition at the start. Therefore, the lessee declares himself fully liable for theft, damage and damages occurring during the rental period and must pay the repair costs or replacement value to the lessor in cash or by pin no later than the agreed return date.
- Mobility scooters come with the legally required third-party insurance, but please note that this comes with an excess of 175 euros.
- The lessee is obliged to report damage and/or loss to the lessor as soon as possible.
- The hired item may not be used outside the designated roads and paths (The hired item may therefore also NOT get on the beach, except for the carts).
- The rented may not leave the island.
- It is forbidden to take persons on the back (only children in appropriate child seats).
- It is forbidden to brake (skid) with locked wheels causing unnecessary tyre wear.
- It is not allowed to make changes to the bike.
- It is not allowed to carry out repairs to the rented object without the permission of the lessor and costs will never be (re)paid to the lessee without the explicit permission of the lessor.
- The hirer is obliged to take good care of the bicycle:
- The bicycle should be locked.
- The electric bike should be charged according to the instructions.
- The tenant must handle the keys of the bike neatly.
- The hirer should confirm luggage correctly.
- The renter must ensure that the bike is not used by anyone who is unable to do so.
- Payment shall be made prior to the rental period, unless otherwise agreed (with the landlord's consent).
- The landlord reserves the right to charge a deposit.
- The early return of the rented item does not entitle you to a refund.
- Day of deposit and day of return count as full rental days. If the return date is exceeded without the landlord's consent, the tenant shall owe an additional € 10 per day in addition to the rental due.
- The rental company or its authorised representative reserves the right to confiscate the bike in case of non-compliance with these rental conditions, without entitlement to a refund..
- Cancellation: If an agreement is cancelled by the lessee, the lessor may charge the following cancellation fees in addition to a 10 - 30 euro administration fee (depending on the payment method): - for cancellation up to the 30th day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 10% of the rental sum; - for cancellation from the 30th day (inclusive) to the 7th day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 30% of the rental sum; - for cancellation from the 7th day (inclusive) to the 3rd day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 50% of the rental sum; - for cancellation from the 3rd day (inclusive) to 1 day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 90% of the rental sum; - for cancellation from less than 1 day before the day of rental: the full rental sum. (this also applies to corona complaints)
